VAI is the civil engineer on the consultant team for the City of Portland’s Columbia Boulevard Wastewater Treatment Plant (CBWTP) new support facilities building. VAI has provided civil engineering services for site utilities of the new building, layout and grading of the new access roadway, and retrofitting design of the existing parking area to include new stormwater infiltration facilities. As part of VAI’s services, VAI evaluated site conditions and informed the best location for the new support building, reviewed the existing utility and stormwater infrastructure, and participated in a site planning workshop to lead the discussion on stormwater treatment and conveyance options.  VAI’s deliverables included construction documents, land use permitting assistance and figures/narratives, bidding documents, and cost estimates associated with site vehicle corridor improvements, the parking area, stormwater, and utilities. VAI has also assisted during project construction, overseeing electrical work, the installation of the roadway, and other aspects related to the implementation of VAI’s scope of services.
