VIGIL-AGRIMIS, INC. is a community-minded firm that regularly commits time and funds to projects that enrich our community. Our principals and staff donate time to local schools and natural resources organizations to assist with technical issues and to teach children and adults about our natural and water resources. As a company we also make financial and labor contributions in support of community enhancement. Some of the groups and organizations that we have made contributions to include The Wetlands Conservancy, River Restoration Northwest, Blanchet House, Susan G. Komen Foundation, Sisters of the Road, Opera Theater Oregon, World Concern (Tibet Bridges), Johnson Creek Watershed Council, Oregon Food Bank and Engineers Without Borders. An example of our commitment includes recent volunteer work completed by our staff in support of the "Fort to Sea" trail. This trail commemorates the 200-year anniversary of the historic journey of Lewis and Clark's Corps of Discovery from Fort Clatsop to the Pacific Ocean. Our involvement included field work completed to help locate the trail, erosion control designs, and preparing environmental permitting documents for construction of the trail. This work was coordinated by the National Park Service. VIGIL-AGRIMIS, INC. provides an annual scholarship and summer internship for Hispanic students who are interested in pursuing careers in engineering, landscape architecture, and environmental science. In cooperation with the Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber, we have awarded scholarships and summer internships to graduating high school students. We provide mentorship during the summer before they enter college and financial support during their first year of college.
